NEW WALLED GARDEN

This former farmhouse was originally approached through a muddle of ugly concrete block outbuildings. The landscaping involved re-routing the drive in order to take maximum advantage of the outstanding views. The outbuildings were demolished and a new walled garden was built in stone to match the house. It sits comfortably into the slope of the land beneath the house and now looks as though it has always been there.

The garden now provides vegetables, salads, fruit and cut flowers for the house and a Siberian Quince tree with a circular bench around it provides the central feature.
